This couples shower is designed to be a causal affair with food, family and friends. No games to embarrass the new parents. No worries about providing a party favor for all in attendance just one or two easy door prizes at the end of the evening. Ask in the invitation that each couple bring a package of new diapers. For each package brought, they receive a ticket towards the door prize.
Take lots of digital photos. It is usually best to have someone assigned to this task.

Men, please bring fun gag gifts for the “new dad”

Note
Bring a new package of new diapers for a door prize ticket, any size is ok.
A drawing will be held at the end of the shower.

State the RSVP date & where the couple is registered

Have three locations for the packages of diapers, gifts for mom and gifts for dad.

Assign one person to passing out the door prize tickets to each couple who has a package of diapers.

Provide ample seating for everyone to eat and visit.

After food and conversation begin the gift opening. Alternate between the mom/baby gift and the gag gift for dad. The gag gifts to dad will provide the entertainment for the event.

Have a pad of paper and pen available for a volunteer to record the gifts and giver.

Pass out cake and have the drawing for the door prize(s)
The prize can be as easy as a gift card to a local restaurant.

After the shower, take the digital photos and either make a DVD slideshow of the event or save the photos on a CD for the new parents. There are lots of free, easy to use software that can be used to make a nice slideshow some you can even add music to.
